Limestone Men's Ministry - Bylaws

ARTICLE I –NAME
The name of the organization shall be
the Limestone Presbyterian Church Men’s Ministry. The members shall
meet on a regular basis at a time and place as designated by the
Steering Committee.
ARTICLE II – PURPOSE
. To encourage and support men to come
to know Jesus Christ’s as their Lord and Savior. . To nurture our
faith though fellowship and study . To support the mission of the
church worldwide . To support and encourage all men to develop and
or enrich their relationship with Jesus Christ
ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIP
All men, whether friends of members, who
attend Limestone Presbyterian Church are considered part of the
Men’s Ministry and are encouraged to participate in its activities.
ARTICLE IV - STEERING COMMITTEE
The Steering Committee shall consist of
six members plus one Treasure. The six will be called Champions.
Each Champion will be responsible for one or more areas of men’s
spirituality. The Committee will develop; lead, guide and be
responsible for the program content and execution. The Committee
shall choose a leader, assistant-leader. The term of service for
these positions shall be three years with the privilege of 1
repetitive term. The Steering Committee shall meet quarterly for the
purpose laying out strategy to accomplish the Men’s Ministry
Purpose. Meetings shall occur once each during the months of March,
June, September and December. The Men’s Ministry Leader, or his
designated appointee, shall preside over the meetings.
ARTICLE V – DUTIES OF LEADERSHIP

The Men’s Ministry Leader shall
preside at the quarterly Steering Committee meetings and the
Leader or one of more of the Steering Committee Champions shall
lead the regular monthly meetings.

Leader to maintain communications
with Men’s Ministry activities within the New Castle Presbytery;
Synod of the Mid Atlantic and National Council of Presbyterian
Men in order to support and encourage each other in the Service
of Jesus Christ.

Leader will prepare an annual report
to be presented at annual congregational meeting in Jan.

Leader will lead Steering Committee
in setting agenda for upcoming year.

Assistant-leader will preside in
absence of the Leader at his request and shall assist in
activities as needed.

Treasurer shall maintain checking
account and financial records in an order that can be audited on
demand.

Treasurer shall prepare a year end
financial report to present to Steering Committee.
ARTICLE VI – FINANCES

A checking account with a local Bank
shall be maintained with a minimum balance of $500. This balance
will be maintained to deal with emergency requests.

Expenditures over $100 must be
approved by a majority of the Steering Committee, expenditures
under $100 need be approved by one leadership member. (Leader or
Assistant-leader)

“Request of Reimbursement” form must
be filled out for any reimbursement request. The said form must
be approved by the Men’s Ministry Leader and subsequently given
to the Treasurer for execution. At the request of the Treasurer,
checks may be written by the other two members who are
authorized to sign same.
ARTICLE VII - REVISIONS
Revisions to this document can only be
made by majority vote of the Steering Committee.
