Two Summer Mission
Project/Sleepover Events
Limestone children and friends entering
Kindergarten through grade six and their friends have two special
summer 2007 activities at Limestone Presbyterian Church:
July 13th & July 14th
Sleepover Party and Habitat for Humanity Trip
Limestone children and friends had an evening and a
morning of fun and helping make lunches for the workers at a
Habitat for Humanity work site. Friday evening included games,
activities, music and fun, evening devotions, and making lunches
for Habitat for Humanity volunteers. Children and adults went
together to deliver these lunches to a Habitat work site late
Saturday morning. In this way, even our youngest members
supported our church’s work with Habitat for Humanity, and had a
fun time at church with their friends working on a mission project
together. See below for photos.
Friday, August 10th at 7:00 p.m. to Saturday, August 11th at 10:30
a.m.
Limestone Children & Friends will be helping Emmanuel Dining Room
Church School children and friends are invited to a
second mission/service sleepover as we prepare food for Emmanuel
Dining Room. Adults will cook turkeys and kids will then help
prepare turkey for future use by church volunteers at Emmanuel
Dining Room. We will also be making cookies for homebound church
members. Friday evening and Saturday morning will also include
games, fun, activities, music and evening devotions.
Please register in advance for this
mission/fun/sleepover event by calling Limestone Church’s office
at 994-5646. You will be asked to fill out a permission
slip when you arrive at church on Friday evening. Parent
volunteers are welcome; please call the church office to
volunteer.
