The Limestone Food Closet
The Food Closet of Limestone Presbyterian Church has given 519 bags of food to
help feed our hungry neighbors (608 children and 1314 adults) in the first ten
months of 2007. The number of our neighbors in need is growing!
In January 2007, we gave out 58 bags of food to help 94 adults and 59 children.
In October 2007, we gave out 85.5 bags to help 132 adults and 93 children.
While we have received lots of donated food, the Food Closet has spent close to $12,000
on food for bags so far this year. You can help us help others. Please take this shopping
list with you when you go to the grocery store and add one or more items to your basket
for local families who are in need.
Please bring your items when you come to the church for meetings (or any other time -
the church is open weekdays, and most evenings) and mark them for the Food Closet. They can
be left outside the Food Closet door (on the right, just before the door into the Sanctuary).
Monetary donations (tax-deductible) are also needed, and checks should be made payable to
"Limestone Presbyterian Church", and marked
"Food Closet".
We do not want any of our neighbors to go hungry.
Your deacons appreciate your help and generosity.
