The Chancel Choir is
made up of people who love to sing and serve God through music. Our
membership ranges from singers who have been with us for a few
months to those who have masterpieces from the
past through the contemporary music of today. The Chancel Choir
presents a Christmas Cantata during Advent. For more information on

Service
These singers and
instrumentalists specialize in contemporary sacred music. Each
Sunday, they lead the congregation in singing inspirational music
and provide special music for offering. For more information

Youth Choir
Sunday Rehearsal 6:00-7:00pm (beginning Sunday,
September 11th)
The youth choir consists of 6-12th
graders who love to sing! They usually sing the last Sunday of each
month at both services. One of the highlights of the year is their
annual musical. For more information on

Joyful Noise Singers:
Thursday Rehearsal
6:00-6:45 pm
The Joyful Noise Singers consist of
2nd-8th graders (unchanged voices) who are
eager to sing and learn about music. They sing approximately once a
month at both services. For more information on joining The Joyful

Limestone’s Gifted Musicians
Kelly Kline
began her role as Director of Music at Limestone in 2005. She holds
a Bachelors Degree in music education from West Chester University,
where she majored in voice and minored in piano and French horn.
Upon graduating from West Chester, Kelly taught choral and
instrumental music at Thomas McKean High School and then choral and
general music at Kennett Middle School. She directs the Limestone
Chancel Choir, Living Water Ensemble, and Youth Choir and
accompanies the Joyful Noise Singers. She also enjoys directing
musicals with the church's youth. Kelly grew up in Limestone and is
thrilled to be a part of its music ministry.
Linda Wardell
is a graduate of West Chester University
and the University of Delaware and holds B.S. and M.M. degrees in
music education with a Master Certificate in Orff Schulwerk. Linda
is a music specialist in the Pennsville School District in
Pennsville, New Jersey where she teaches 1st through 5th general
music, and has taught 5th grade and 7th & 8th grade choral
ensembles. In 2001 she was awarded Teacher of the Year within the
district. Linda has served as cooperating teacher for Rowan
University, University of Delaware and West Chester University. In
2002, Linda joined the Kennett Symphony Children’s Chorus as
Associate Conductor, and presently enjoys directing the “Joyful
Noise Singers” children’s choir that she founded in 1989 at
Limestone Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. During the summer she
directs the University of Delaware Community Music School Children's
Choral Camp.
Lydia Oliver
Hazeltine is a native of Kingston, PA. and is a graduate of
Susquehanna University (Selinsgrove, PA) where she received a
Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, piano emphasis. She had
been a director of music and organist at numerous churches in
Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Delaware, the most recent being Director of
Music at White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church in Newark. She is
coming to Limestone Presbyterian as Organist so she can focus more
time on tending to her mother who is in Kentmere Nursing Home. Lydia
is also employed full-time at Wilmington Trust Company. She lives in
the Pike Creek area with her two long-haired dachshunds, Riesling
(age 7 ½ ) and Beethoven (age 4).
Amanda (Mandie) Cardillo
has been attending Limestone since birth
and is a confirmed member of the church. She attended and graduated
in the fall of 2004 from the University of Delaware, receiving a
Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education with concentration in
bassoon. Mandie is the director of bands and orchestra at Caravel
Academy, a K-12 private school in Bear, Delaware; she also rings
mid-bass bells with the First State Ringers out of Newark United
Methodist Church in Newark and performs on bassoon with the New
Castle County Community Band and Newark Symphony Orchestra.
Carolyn Winfrey
Gillette
and her husband Bruce have been the co-pastors of the Limestone
Presbyterian Church since August 2004. Carolyn is the author of
Gifts of Love: New Hymns for Today’s Worship (Geneva Press,
2000). Carolyn's
hymns are in the new Episcopal and Presbyterian
hymnal supplements, have been sung in churches throughout the USA
and overseas, posted on many denominational/ecumenical web sites
and featured on national PBS-TV three times and on the BBC-TV in the
United Kingdom. Two of her anthems were recently published by the
Choristers Guild.
